'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane reduces on Premier League return

Kane celebrates his hundredth goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has revealed that his interest in going back to the Premier League has lessened and he is willing to explore a new contract with Bayern Munich.

The prolific striker is presently halfway through the four-year contract he agreed to when moving to from Tottenham Hotspur for a substantial fee in the offseason of 2023.

The 32-year-old forward has scored an outstanding 103 goals in 106 games for the German side, playing a key role in them win the 2024-25 Bundesliga crown - which represented the initial important trophy of his distinguished career.

Tottenham coach Thomas Frank has previously mentioned that he would welcome to see Kane go back to England, where he needs 48 goals to break Alan Shearer's all-time Premier League scoring feat of 260.

However, the England captain has now clarified that he is no longer as eager about returning home as he previously was, and would seriously think about extending his time in Bavaria.

"In terms of remaining longer, I could absolutely see that," he commented.

"I spoke openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those conversations with Bayern yet, but if they were to arise I would be open to talk and have an straightforward conversation.

"Obviously it hinges on how the next year or so unfolds and what we accomplish together. Right now, I would say we are in a fantastic moment and I am not focusing about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had inquired me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would likely say that has gone down a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have learned in my career is that different options and different periods happen and things fall in place. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am totally all in with Bayern."

Record-breaking Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the record top scorer for both Tottenham and England and not long ago became the quickest player this century to hit 100 goals for a club competing in one of Europe's top five leagues, reaching the achievement in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a honor had avoided him until he lifted the German title last season.

Kane admits that he was not sure how he would respond after breaking his trophy wait, but now feels it has made him eager for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be natural to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he added.

"But it's given me more drive to do more and be better. I think I've proven that this year.

"I was interested in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to accomplish in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I challenged myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
