The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the pair met personally to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.
Former two-time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth disparity - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Fighter's Mindset
"I'm going to damage his features and damage his physique. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will genuinely try to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally recognized for his dramatics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul instead criticized former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he stated.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Still, the novice remains one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, frequently receiving huge earnings.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.
Size Difference
As the two fighters participated in the customary stare-down, with their size difference evident, it drove home just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is actually proceeding.
